Course Objective

Jewellery & Accessory Design course brings out each individual's innate creativity, helping enthusiasts to design with ability and confidence. It makes an apprentice designer learn the basics and complexities of designing any type of jewellery, along with estimating its cost. Through practical work, designers are assisted to express their creativity by designing a portfolio of their own styles.

Here at JCC we offer an artistic and cultural reference point for students who want to study Jewellery & Accessory Design. A range of basic jewellery-making techniques are taught, among them sawing, filing, soldering, bending, forging, and polishing. Jewellery students learn to drill, file, weld and shape materials, before polishing and setting precious and semi- precious stones in the finished products.

At JCC, students are encouraged to develop their own style using metal as well as alternative materials and jewels to create rings, earrings, bracelets and more. From design to production, students at JCC learn every step in the jewellery-making process, both in the classroom and in the workshop.
