The focus of one year ceritificate program is to develop basic skills like food & beverage service, basic cooking & baking and an introduction to front office & housekeeping operations along with basic knowledge of food science & nutrituion, tourism and frenh language. The B.Voc Programme in Hospitality, Catering Travel Tourism and Service Industry at JCC has a multi-dimensional approach to its curriculum with the right blend of theory practical and Industrial exposure. Infrastructure

Front Office Lab

We have a well-equipped Front Office Lab where the students are taught the practical functioning of this department like giving information, taking reservations, guest registration, billing etc on the latest software. Along with this special emphasis is given on social and communication skills, situation handling and telephone handling through role-plays and importance of power dressing is an integral part of the Front Office Practical.

Production Lab/Training Kitchen

In our state of the art kitchen the students are given a hand on training on the latest trends in food production. The practicals begin with the basic knowledge of food later making them proficient in advance levels of food production wherein they start making multi-cuisine menus. They are also taught the importance of time and material management.

Bakery

A well-equipped bakery where the students are taught all aspects of bakery and confectionery. They learn to make products like breads, cakes, cookies, pastries, muffins, patties, croissant etc. Students also learn to make desserts like soufflés, mousses and puddings under expert supervision.

Housekeeping Lab

The housekeeping lab comprises of a Mock Guest Room where the students are taught basic guest room procedure such as bed making, turndown and room cleaning. Apart from this they are also trained in basic laundry procedure like washing, ironing and stain removal, along with special operations like flower decoration etc.

Training Restaurant

In the Training Restaurant the students are taught different types of Food & Beverage services along with bar tending activities like serving drinks, creating mcktails etc. The students organize various theme parties in a restaurant like environment which gives them a feel of the actual work that they do in the Industry.

Hospitality & US

The Hotel Management Department organised a seminar “Hospitality & Us” on “Balancing Technology and Human Touch in Hospitality: Innovation Serving Human Need” on 07.11.2024 at Constitution Club of India, Sansad Marg. The professionals gave the students an insight into finding the right balance between technological advancement and the human touch, emphasizing how innovation can best serve human needs.

Mixology & Flair Bartending

The first- and second-year students of Hotel Management department and multiple students from other departments attended an on premises session by Monin. They got a chance to see the art of making and presenting mocktails in a style. This was a fabulous practical learning experience for the students. This event was held in auditorium and students practiced and tasted mocktails as well.

Food Styling

Competitions

Chandiwala Competition

Seven second year students of Hotel Management department participated in CHE 2025 where they participated in different competitions for three days. They got a chance to compete with students of 20 more institutions in various hotel management related competitions. This was a great learning experience for the students. One of our student won 1st prize in “Napkin Folding” competition and two students won 2nd prize in “Trash into Treasure” competition. Our institute secured 7th over-all position on last day.

AHP Competition

Three students of Hotel Management department participated in AHP 2025 Competition where they participated in different competitions for three days. They got a chance to compete with students of many more institutions in various hotel management related competitions. This was a great learning experience for the students. One of our student also won bronze medal in “Front Office Master” competition and second student got certificate of achievement in towel art competition.

Department Activity

Fresher’s Party

Fresher’s party was organized in hotel Crowne Plaza Rohini on 28th October this year. Second and third year students gave their first year a wonderful mixture of dance, music and entertainment in lieu of welcoming them. All years of Hotel Management, Diet and Nutrition became part of this grand celebration and hence learned the art of being host and guest at same time.

Gourmet Fest

The second year students of Hotel Management department participated in Gourmet Fest in Hotel Leela, Gurugram. They got a chance to see different famous personalities from hotels and event industry from India and abroad. Students got to learn not only about hotels but also event industry.

IBIS Aerocity Symposium

The second year students of Hotel Management department participated in this symposium organized by AHA in Hotel IBIS Aerocity. Famous personalities like Ms. Vineeta Arora, Ms. Namrata Marwaha, Ms. Garima Nagpal shared their views on topic “Power of Housekeeping”. This was a great learning experience for the students.

World Food India

The first, second and third year students of Hotel Management department participated in World Food India where they came across different brands of Machinery, linen, Equipment’s, Chemicals, Ingredients related to hotels. They got a chance to handle food and interact with high level hotel delegates. This was excellent learning experience for the students.

Familiarization Tour-crowne Plaza Rohini

All first year students of Hotel Management department were taken for hotel show around to Crowne Plaza Rohini on 28.01.2025. They got a chance to see operations of all departments of a five star hotel. This was a hand on experience for the students about hotel operations.

AAHAAR VISIT

The first, second and third year students of Hotel Management department visited AAHAAR, Pragati Maidan on 07/03/2025. Where they came across different brands of Machinery, linen, Equipment’s, Chemicals, Ingredients related to hotels. This was excellent learning experience for the students.

Surajkund Mela Visit

The students of Hotel Management department visited to Suraj kund mela to understand different cultures and cuisine. This will help students to increases their regional knowledge.

Distillery, Indri, Karnal

The students of Hotel Management visited the Distillery, Indri in Karnal. Where they got opportunity to learn about the making of Beer, whisky and other sprits from scratch. It will help student to understand about alcohol distillation process.

Taj Sats

The students of hotel management visited the Taj sats (Flight catering) base kitchen where they got opportunity to understand how flight catering base kitchen work and also learn about food hygiene standards.
