This course offers students a deep understanding of literature, culture, and society across diverse contexts.
Through exploration of Indian and regional literature, modernist works, and women's literature, students
gain insights into belief systems, gender equality, and translation issues. Studies in Modern European
Drama, colonial history, and post-colonial literature enhance comprehension of socio-political dynamics
and identity issues. The course also covers literary theory and criticism, fostering analytical skills and
theoretical understanding. Additionally, the students undertake summer internships that enable them to
acquire hands-on work experience in lucrative and relevant fields like Creative Writing and Digital
Marketing. In short, this course provides exposure to the themes of youth, gender and identity, cultivating
cultural awareness and critical perspectives alongside hands-on experience for rounded development.
