Academic Club

Students' recent visit to the Book Fair 2024 was an exciting and enriching experience for all of us. They had the opportunity to explore a wide range of books, interact with authors, and attend insightful sessions. It was instrumental in ensuring that the students had a valuable and enriching experience.

Academic club is designed to provide opportunities for students to enhance the professional skills for their personal growth and the development of professional competence. Club is committed to organize academic activities for the students of JIMS-JCC so as to help them to pursue their interests and nurture their skills. Club believes in the philosophy that knowledge can’t only be learnt in the four walls of the classrooms but it must find way beyond that. Students are encouraged to participate in the activities organized by the club wherein they are given a platform to present their ideas related to the theme. The club endeavours to gain confidence, experience and build professional skills including leadership, teamwork and communication among students through various activities like Extempore, Debate, Quiz, Role Play, Spell-Bee, Poster Making, Article writing, Poetry, Elocution, Team Building games and New Product Development

Rock 'o' Reels-The reel making competition

JCC Academic club has presented the most exciting competition of the year, Rock 'o' Reels-The reel making competition on 7th July, 2022. Reel making competition is an initiative to portray students' creativity to the wider public. Reels have recently become a medium for the youth to express their original ideas on social media platforms. Students have prepared reels on different themes like rejoicing life, change begins with me and celebrating the indian within me.



Censorship of OTT Platforms

JCC Academic club organized an Eristic and Plausible Debate on 'Censorship of OTT Platforms' On 10th February'23. The audience sensed the intensity of the spirited participation and the acrimonious firestorm on the heated topic. Yashika and Kashish from the Psychology Department bagged the First Prize for their deductive and coherent arguments.



INNOV@TRIX

JCC Academic Club organised INNOV@TRIX -A Product Development and Advertisement competition on 1st Oct '2021. The motive behind this event was ideation and opportunity identification in the current market scenario. It aimed at reinforcing new ideas and product development among our students.

We got an overwhelmingly positive response from the students. The students presented innovative ideas that were demonstrated through ad-campaigns, skits and role-plays. Many unique product prototypes were presented in this event such as Aloe Cell, UV rays disinfectant towel dryer, Menstrual cramp meter, Blue-tooth enabled smart mask, 3 in 1 cookware, Eco-friendly Balloon crackers and many more. Such events are a great platform for the students to apply classroom knowledge and skills in the practical world. It has been a great learning experience for students and would help them in their future endeavours

Social Club

In recent years, it has become increasingly evident that the social strategies have inculcated consciousness among the students for the upliftment of the society.The Social club has taken a charge and an initiative to make the above possible by making the youth more responsible and active in the completion of the mission. The resourcefulness of social club has also brought forth a number of students to showcase their social skills and abilities. The club provides independent living skills, basic skills through socialization and recreational activities which has benefitted the underprivileged group of the society by making the young generation more aware and incumbent.

Sports Club

Importance of Sports Club in Colleges and Universities

A sports club is a group of people formed for the purpose of playing;sports. In colleges and universities, sports club exists to promote and develop interest of the students in a particular sport or physical activity. Students who engage in sports activities are active, interactive and receptive towards their surrounding environment. Binding students only in academics and not letting them to explore the outside world will hamper their mental and physical growth. In today’s era, more focus is being paid on sports activities in Colleges and Universities. In some of them, sports have already been made part of the curriculum looking at its future prospects like in the field sports journalism, sports goods manufacture, fitness & health clinics.

Participating in sports activities helps students to understand the importance of time, manage the stress wisely, have sense of brotherhood and maintain proper discipline. Sports club can help students by learning to interact with older people, such as their coaches and sports officials that create important social skills, good citizenship, positive peer relationships and respect for authority. By engaging in sports, they grasp the sound knowledge of leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility and a sense of team spirit. These skills can be practically applied in their career fields and are essential for any profession. They cultivate the winning spirit and take ups and downs in a compassionate manner. So, a student’s involvement in sports club activities creates a spirit of higher achievements eventually.

Cultural Club

The cultural club at JCC, understands that there is a plethora of richness of talent in the youth, and it provides platform and opportunities to flourish their skills. The main objective of the club is to explore and encourage the dynamism of the students. The activities conducted promotes the enhancements of the personal skills, motivates them to work in teams, to experience confidence, self-presentation, time management, open mindedness and acceptability towards different ideas. cultures and personalities. It is an attempt to unleash their hidden talents. The Club emphasize on respect for the rights of others and encouraging moral standards and the dignity of all.

The club has always been keen in celebrating various festivals like Lohri, Holi, Diwali, Krishna Janmashtami, Christmas to name a few. The club has also organized events like Folk Dance Competition, JIMS-JCC Got Talent, Teacher’s Day, Western Dance Competition, Traditional Day, Bollywood Retro Dance Competition, Musical Story Depiction Competition, Prop Dance Competition along with Nail Art, tattoo art, Mehndi Competition & Poster Making Competition and much more.

The club provides a platform to showcase the creativity, along with the fun, quality and artistic renewal of the young minds.

Lohri Celebration 2023

JCC Cultural Club celebrated "Lohri" festival on 13th January 2023 in the open garden area at JCC sector 3 Campus. The students & staff enjoyed cultural performances, Bonfire, moongfali, revri etc. along with foot tapping music from DHOL & DJ.

An Interdepartmental Group Dance Competition based on Navratri festival for students on September 29, 2022

Holi ke Tyohar pe, Prashno ki bauchhar

Cultural Club organized "Holi ke Tyohar pe, Prashno ki bauchhar" . A Quiz competition based on Holi festival for students on March 15, 2022. It was an event where everyone gathered to unlock their knowledge about our most colourful festival Holi. The questions were completely related to the Holi festival . The rounds were History, Art and Culture, Entertainment & Mixed Bag.

The IT Department of JIMS can boast of its state-of-the-art computing resources and network across the campus. JIMS has Central IT Infrastructure Center for IT support. COMPUTER LABS

The Computer labs under department of IT provide a productive working environment for students enrolled at the college who require computer access for academic and research activities. Our Open Cluster Lab offers a variety of applications from general word processing to various research applications. All computers are configured latest operating systems, applications, and browsers that are networked to printers. Scanners are available for course activities. The labs are also equipped with a variety of Multimedia devices and software to provide support for Multimedia based 3D and Image Processing Projects.

LIBRARY

JIMS library is a veritable storehouse of information with ample text and reference books, national and international periodicals and journals. Well equipped and fully computerized library provides latest research and reference material in print and audio-visual formats along with the facility to refer to e- journals. To cultivate values in students and enhance their skills, the knowledge storehouse has an array of books on computing concepts, codification and networking.
